Mouth Still numb, 3 days since last dose.

Hi,

I recently got what I believe to be an abcsessed tooth about a week ago today.  At first I thought I could just hold off, pop a few ibuprofin and get it fixed after the holidays(I work retail, and haven't had a day off) The second day of the pain was so unbearable, I took probably 20 ibuprofin, 5 excedrin and  just a couple regular aspirin throughout the course of 10 or so hours, for maybe 45 minutes total of any pain relief, so i called my PCP, and over-the-phone'd a prescription for Clindamycin, which I've been taking as prescribed for the past 5 days.  When I picked up my script, i also got a small tube of extra strength orajel (20% benzocaine, like, .3% menthol).  The orajel and ibuprofin combo was amazing for the tooth, but for the first day or two, I was globbing that orajel into my broken tooth like, every 2 hours, but cut down the ibuprofin intake to like, 10 or less pills per 24 hours.

It's now been 3 days since I've last used the orajel, and I've taken no more than 8 ibuprofin in those 3 days (so like, 4 two days ago, 3 yesterday, and only 1 so far today)  but my front lower left lip, and exterior skin on the lower left side of my face around my jaw line still feels numb.  What could be causing this, and will it go away ever?

For reference, the tooth that abscessed was my lower molar, 2 behind my left canine, and there is no longer any tooth pain, just a numb mouth.
