Mouth ulcers for 10 weeks

I am a 29 year old female with hypochondria and a phobia of oral cancer. I have had herpetiform mouth ulcers for 10 weeks which my doctor thinks is due to stress, and says there is no need to give me blood tests as I had a full blood count last year which was normal. I have also had thrush on my tongue for aprox 6 weeks. I understand that aphthous ulcers are benign but feel anxious that I have had the same ulcers for so long. They are smaller than they were but still there, I have 5 or 6 on my soft palate. I have checked the internet extensively and most sites say they should heal in two weeks so why ar mine so persistent? Please help.

I think that any ulcer that hasn't healed in 7 to 10 days should be investigated. That being said I doubt very much that you are dealing with oral cancer. See an oral surgeon for a consultation.

I would think it woudl be tough to be a hypochondriac and then have a "real" issue that needs resolved.  Hard to seperate.  Regardless I used an all natural toothpaste and mouth foam when I went through chemo that my oncologist recommended.   http://www.cuprident.com  there isnt much that it wont heal and it doesnt have alcohol or any other harmful chemical.  You might want to check it out.  I am going to attempt to make a link to it for ,a href="http://www.cuprident.com/gumprob.php">gum problems<a/>

I had a problem in my mouth similar to thrush, liken planus. The mouth wash I was using perscribed by my dentist had 11.6% alcohol in it and I think that cased the flareup.  I told the dentist I should have been drinking it instead...  I went to a ETM she gave me a mouth wash, I swish around 1 teaspoon in my mouth then swallow, for 10 days it worked. A great relief. On the bottle it reads
CD benadryl/decadron/mylanta in a 140 ml bottle.  You may want to ask your doc about it  Here in Reno it cost $16.
