My 3 year going under GA for dental work.

i just took my daughter to the dentist today they told me that that she has 8 cavities. I brush her teeth and try not to give her lots of sugar but now I feel like a horrible mom. The dentist said that the decay can be caused by breatfeeding at night. she has to have 4 crowns 2 filling and 2 root canals(they many just pull the teeth). What did i do wrong???

I would consider getting a second opinion.  Its sad but just like any industry, there are stories of excessive and unnecessary work being done on patients.  I'm not implying that this is the case, I'm just suggesting that you get a second opinion before you undergo such an extensive treatment plan.

Also, ask what materials they will be using, especially for the root canals.   If they are using Sargenti Paste/Cement or Formocresol, do some homework before you let them do it.  They both contain formaldehyde and are widely considered too toxic for no added benefit.  There are safer and equally effective materials available.

i agree... get another opinion....to but the baby under for root canals for teeth that are going to fall out in 2-3 years seems like alot to me, but im not a dentist

your not a bad mom... this stuff happens, i have friend and their babies have full caps on all teeth, yes its sad but your not a bad mom..... the breastfeeding at night till the baby falls asleep is a HUGE factor in this problem... the milk is slowly drank and it soaks on the teeth slowly which turns into decay.....brushing the teeth after breastfeeding would be ideal but i kno that kinda of hard as well.....
