My braces left ringed scars on my teeth! What do i do?

by Saranna, Aug 05, 2005 12:00AM
I just got my braces off today and was horrified to see that my brushing had apparently not been sufficant. I now have little white rings on each of my teeth. Is there a way to get rid of these or am i stuck with them for life? If so which is the most effective? least expensive? fastest working? Thank you for your time.

Depending on the severity of the white areas, there are a few approaches.  You may be able to bleach (whiten) your teeth to make the areas less
noticeable.  If that doesn't work, simple bonding proceedures would most likely do the trick.  The last resort would be veneers but would most likely give you the best cosmetic result.  Consult with your dentist to discuss options.
