hey.

i have been having teeth problem for quite a long time. ok so here's the problem, my teeth are slightly yellow and i believe these are caused by coffee and smoking. but however, my front two teeth seems to be more yellow than the others and sometimes there are white spots on the front two teeth. so i was wondering what is the causes and is there any solution for it?? well, appearance for me is at top priority...so i really need help on this.

*FYI: few years back i have seen a dental in school, and i asked him about this problem...and he tried using the whatever tool and remove it but it couldnt be removed. i asked him why and he said it was because of my teeth formation or something like that. i do believe he is a new dentist and have not much experience. hence i really need some professional help on removing these stains. thanks

so as to let the docs to have a better picture, there's a pic i taken and you could see my front two teeth yellowish part and white spot.

Hi,
You could try the bleaching, but I would ask if it would help this particular type of staining before shelling out any cash.
It appears these stains are not from food, drink or smoking but actually inside the tooth surface itself where cleaning or bleaching won't reach.

If that is the case, the bleaching won't help and veneers may be an option.

A good cosmetic dentist will be able to help you with either and can direct you to the cheapest BEST result for you.  He/she should be able to tell you if bleaching will work for you.

Hope this helps.
Best to you,
Gellia

Hi,
These do not appear to be coffee or smoking stains.  If you have been to a dentist and the stains could not be easily removed, what he was probably telling you is that the discoloration is on the inside of the tooth.  These stains are from the way your teeth formed, possibly from antibiotics as a child and sometimes the reasons are just unknown.

Scottma is right in that your best option would be to see a cosmetic dentist for an evaluation. There is no home remedy that will help this type of discoloration.

Best to you,
Gellia

Few tips to whiten your teeth are:
1. Make a toothpaste by mixing the baking soda and the hydrogen peroxide and use it regularly. It will remove all stains in a month.
2. Rub the inner part of the orange peel for whitened your teeth.

Hope it will help....

If you have a desire to get your teeth whiter you need to start using whitening toothpaste. Proper personal dental care using this form of toothpaste will enhance your smile and help with your self esteem. There are many brands out there on the market. Again, for mildly stained teeth you might see an effect. These are best used as stain prevention, rather than stain removal.

thanks for the information you guys provided. I have been to other medcare forum and seek for help too, one told me that it is a sign of fluorosis. and he gave me two option, 1) have the teeth bleach, 2) go find a cosmetic dentist and have Veneer done.

so what do you guys think?? should i go ahead with his advise?
