My tongue is icky sometimes

Alright... So here is my typical day with my tongue. I wake up and my tongue if fine. Naturally - my tongue is a big furry and has a indent down the middle. When I get to work... I drink coffee and an energy drink and my tongue gets this icky white cottage cheese look on it. Usually in the back and middle. It scrapes off super easy (I can do it with my finger). I am a mouth breather but i doubt that has anything to do with it. Whenever I drink soda, energy drinks, beer, or  breaded foods... this happens to my tongue. It's not too big of a deal but its just very annoying. Here is a picture that looks alot like my tongue:

There is no pain and it does not bleed. I scrape it everyday with a scraper and it tends to come off yellowish. Can it be bacteria and plaque from the foods and drinks I eat?

I often have this problem but it's really nothing to worry about.

Just keep on top of it by brushing your tongue aswell as your teeth on a daily basis (especially at night) and use mouthwash.

Coffee will play a big part in giving your tongue a horrible looking coating so if possible swill your mouth out with water and/or chew chewing gum afterwards.
