Hi. A while ago a dentist giving me a root canal broke a drill bit off, packed me up and sent me to a root canal specialist (wow was that expensive) but the specialist couldn't get it out. So I still have it sitting in my root canal now 2 years later, don't have a crown yet. I think they might have filled in the roots with something. I wasn't able to get advice from my dentist at the time who broke the drill bit about what to do about the tooth (cap it? wait?), so because of that and him messing up some fillings I switched dentists.
The problem I have now is that I also have some neurological or possible neurological problems and wierd infection/sinus problems and I need an MRI, but with the drill bit in the tooth the neurologist says it could dislodge during an MRI. So I'm kind of stuck on what to do now. I'm young, 24, and because of this tiny bit of drill from 2 years ago I can't get any scans done to figure out what's wrong with me, and I guess I won't be able to get an MRI for my entire life if I need it. I'm concerned because the neurological problems are affecting my eyesight, and even a retina specialist said I should have an MRI.
