New Crown-Feels Strange.

I had a new crown put on the Wednesday before thanksgiving.  It began hurting, and was sensitive to hot.  I went back to the dentist and he adjusted it because he said it was too high.  It is no longer hurting, but it still feels strange, like it is too big for my mouth.  I feel like it is affecting how I talk/bite.  Could it still be too high or do I just need to get use to it?  I feel silly going back to the dentist if I simply need to adjust to the new crown.

Thats a good plan.  If it does bother you severely, I'm sure your dentist would want to see you sooner so just let him/her know.

Okay Thank you!  I have to go back in a month anyway for my regular cleaning.  I will wait it out!

Hard question to answer.  It definitely is subjective.  I would try to be patient and see how you feel about in a month.  If it definitely bothers you, you may want to reconsider adjusting or replacing the crown.
