New crown causing bite prolems

New crown causing bite prolems

Two months ago I had a crown put in - it felt awful immediatly. I went back to the dentist for adjustments 4 times. He kept saying there was nothing he could do. My entire mouth is very painful due to my bite being so off. The crown behind it has since broken off and needs to be replaced. A lower tooth on the bottom has also cracked. I bite my tounge and inside cheek daily. I went to another dentist and he tests my bite by having me bite on one side at a time.
My question is how can/should they test my bite while biting down on both sides at the same time? I bite down either on one side or the other now so this won't show the problem. Who should I see to fix the bite problem? What are the steps I should take? Should I wait to put the other crown in until my bite problem is resolved?
Thank you for any information.
