Normal oral anatomy or growth?

Normal oral anatomy or growth?

Hi, just today i noticed that on the upper left side of my mouth in the back kind of at the top of my inside cheek lining i see a small sack kind of hanging down, when my mouth is closed i beleive my teeth rest against it. i have one on the right side too but it looks a little different. but that may be because i have a abcess (abscess) infection on the lower left side and that whole side is out of whack right now.

are these growths normal anatomy or should i be scared? they are painless even to the touch and not that large maybe the size of a small pea at best.

any help is appreciated.

This is a stab at the dark but could those "sacks" possibly be wisdom teeth on the verge of breaking through?

I have what I THINK you are describing on the left side, where x-rays also happen to show a wisdom tooth that has never bothered to break through.  I don't have it on the other side, where I had the tooth removed just as it was starting to break in years ago.

No, my wisdom teeth have broken through already, this is a soft spot along the lining between the gums and the the cheek.  its kinda pinkish actually i think the white i described was the light reflecting off of it.

i described them to my mother over the phone and she has them to. ill find out for sure later on today.

It's called a Stenson's Duct and is completely normal.  See http://www.doctorspiller.com/stenson's_duct1.htm
