Oral Bone Graft

Oral Bone Graft

I have a few teeth that have pockets of 6-8. I visited two specialist. The two gave me two opposite opinions. One told me that I should have bone graft and the other told me that bone graft wont work since the four sides of tooth is been effected. He suggested to cut the gums down to make the pocket smaller and cleanable. I am 39 years old and still look young. The idea of cutting my gums down is not easy on me. I am leaning toward the bone graft. I want to know what are my chances to have a successful bone graft? what type of bone tissue has better chance to work? what are the questions I should ask my dentist to make sure they are good at what they do?
Please give me some advise.

Thank you
