Oral Herpes and skin peeling inside mouth

Hi, I was recently told that I have oral herpes and am wondering if this would cause the inside of my mouth to peel?  I also keep having sore throats and white little things on my tonsils.  I read that some people have had the inside of their mouths peel, but tried a different toothpaste and it went away.  I have tried several different kinds of toothpaste and still have the same problems.  Thanks for any help!

I would consult with your dentist to see what is happening.  Generally with oral herpes, it will resolve by itself in 7 days on average.  If the peeling is still occuring 7 days after the appearance of cold sores, I would seek a consultation with an oral medicine dentist or go to your dentist and ask for a referral?  Is it painful?
