Oral thrush, Barking Cough, discolored stool passed 2-3 times daily

by jermaldan, Aug 10, 2005 12:00AM
My 3 year old son has been coughing for the last 3 months and has a white discolored tounge covered with a fungal growth. He also has bad breath in the morning.

The symptoms that we have observed are as follows:

-He wipes his tongue
-bad breath
-white/yellow coverage on tounge
-barking cough in morning and night
-frequent passing of stool
-stool is different colors and contains undigested food

This has been going on for 3 months and our GP cant seem to help. Can someone please shed some light on this as we have had someone tell us that her son had the same symptoms and had Giardia Lamblia parasite. Can this be the cause?

Thanks in advance

3yo children don have bad breath for no reason. I suspect that this is related to the Canditis fungis covering his tongue.

However what could be the cause of the Canditis? Because this does not cover the toungue for no reason. He has had the cough before the canditis took over his tongue.

We suspect an internal parasite that may have caused the cough and canditis like Gardia Lamblia.

Has anyone had a similar experience?

Our doctors dont listen to us when we tell them this, opting to treat him with cough syrop, inhaler, and even anti-biotics. No help.
