With more difficult extractions the pain can last for 3-5 days, but it should be subsiding after that period. If the pain is getting worse, radiating in the jaw, plus you have a very bad taste in your mouth, you may be developing a dry socket in the area. If you're concerned, give your dentist a call and hopefully they might be able to suggest something.
