Pain post extraction

Pain post extraction

I had my last tooth in the back upper right removed last Friday (Mar 19), on Tuesday I had to return to the dentist because I was having a lot of pain (which I thought was dry socket) but I noticed I had a lot of exposed bone and had a large open area on the side facing the cheek the went all the way up as far as possible.  The dentist said she would have to remove the exposed bone.  She irrigated and removed the old clot, removed bone and what she said was necrotic tissue and put in some stitches.  I am due to go back this coming Tuesday, but I am still having severe pain in my jaw area, the open area on the cheek side is still open (although no bone is exposed now that I can tell) and no matter how much I brush or rinse I have a horrible taste in my mouth and my breath is AWFUL.  I'm very uncomfortable and am not sure if I should contact the dentist before my Tuesday appointment because she seemed to be a little annoyed that I called post extraction about the exposed bone.....any insight would be greatly appreciated.
