Pain under crown

I am having terrible pain under my crown. I have had this crown for 4 years with no trouble.  Could it be infected?  I was give pain killers for the weekend and they seem to do no good.  Any suggestions?

It sounds like you might need a root canal and I suggest you see your dentist asap.

i suggest taking your pain meds then on monday getting to the dentist! not much else you can do at this point. could be a new cavity. people sometimes arent told or realize you can get new decay under a crown. so whatever the problem may be...call first thing monday morning!
