I have a problem with a crown I had done in early January, however, the tooth has been very problematic for a while. The tooth is the second to last on the bottom right (I don't know the proper name).
I had a small cavity in it filled in late July. The tooth was alright at firstFirst progesterone mc10 First progesterone mc5 First-progesterone vgs 100 First-progesterone vgs 200 First-progesterone vgs 25 First-progesterone vgs 400 First-progesterone vgs 50 First-testosterone First-testosterone mc but a few weeks after the filling was done it became very sensitive to hot/cold and any pressurePressure ulcer. Slowly it began feeling better but was never comfortable to chew with. I avoided chewing with that side of my mouth for months until finally having the filling redone in early December.
The dentist thought there must have been an air-bubble in the filling material. The tooth was no longer sensitive to temperatureTemperature measurement (it hadn't been since summerSummers eve anti-itch) but the pain associated with pressurePressure ulcer was even worse after this and never started getting better.
In late December the dentist took a look at the tooth and said there were four small cracks that could be the source of the pain. He said they could have become enlargedEnlarged adenoids Enlarged prostate when the filling was done. He recommended I get a crown.
I had the crown done early this month. I still have the temporary crown on and the pain is excruciating. The tooth is very sensitive to cold and any pressure, not just chewing. The tooth will ache for hours after eating or drinking.
A root canal is now suggested. I'm assuming this is the way to go but I just wanted any second opinion. If anybody has any idea why this tooth may be so problematic, please let me know. Also, should I go ahead with the root canal?
Thanks so much for reading my long, sad story!
