Painful tongue spots

I have these recurring sores that show up on my tongue every once in a while. They used to be rare but within the past year and specifically within the past month they have become very common. One just showed up a couple days ago, making this the third to show up within this month. This one is on the very edge of my tongue and appears slightly raised, sort of like a pimple. They are very painful and make it very difficult to speak, eat, or even drink any liquids. I find myself hesitating to open my mouth at all. I have now had 2 biopsies done on different occasions, with both coming back with inconclusive results. My last doctor told me it is migratory glossitis, but this has not resulted in me getting any sort of treatment for it. It is really beginning to be a nuisance considering I have only had a handful of days within the past month in which I did not have any sore on my tongue. I have tried using antiseptic mouthwash, this numbs the pain but does not aid in healing. and I have also tried gargling with hydrogen peroxide, which also numbs the area temporarily but does not help much overall. My doctors have seemed to feel that if the biopsies have not shown anything, there is nothing more to be done. Is there anything else that can be done or is this something I will just have to deal with for the rest of my life? Any help would really be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I would consider consulting an oral pathologist. These doctors are usually located in teaching hospitals or dental schools.

The picture I have linked at the end of the first post is one of the sores that I had a couple weeks ago. It was quite smaller than the usual spots, but was still very painful.
