Permanent crown removal

Permanent crown removal

I have 4 permanent crowms on then top front. 3 of the 4 are loose and ready to fall out. The plan is to have all 4 removed and a parallel be made to replace those teeth. I am worried about the removal of these crowns. What type of pain am I looking at? How long is the healing process? How are the crowns removed?

The removal of the crowns should be a minor procedure.  They will need to numb you prior to starting treatment but removing the crown depends on the technique of the doctor.  I would normally section the crown in half (not the tooth, just the crown) and then an instrument to pry the crown apart to break the cement seal, then remove it with my finger.

I'm not sure what a parallel is though.  Is that a fixed permanent bridge?
