Possible cracked/fractured root canal treated tooth?

I had a old PFM crown removed and when the dentist was removing the crown with the plier there was a loud noise. If my tooth was fractured or cracked, would there be any symptoms? How can I check to see if it was cracked or fractured? The tooth is root canal treated so there is no nerve. I've been with a temp crown for 2 weeks now and the dentist will take the final impression on Monday. How can I check if there is a fracture or not? If there was would I already have had symptoms within these past 2 weeks?

An xray will tell the dentist if your tooth is fractured or not.  Ask for one when you go for your final impression since you're concerned.  This was an old crown and that noise was likely just the crown pulling away from the old cement.  Just a guess of course.
