Post op wisdom tooth complications

Hey everyone. I got my wisdom teeth extracted on the left side of my mouth on January 19th. Two days before surgery I lost feeling on the left side of my chin and lip. The numbing has actually gotten worse, this time taking over the right side of the chin also, but not nearly as severe. Went to my oral Sergent  February 9th and the bottom wisdom tooth extraction site was very inflamed and was not healing normally. Now this is also the same area that had an infection that he discovered only when he finally pulled the tooth. He had to reopen it again and physically pull out the bad tissue. He biopsied it while doing this because he said I don't have any risk factors for a complication like this so he might be "missing something." He put me on another routine of antibiotics, but even while taking these I still had a low grade fever last night (100.0). I am very concerned; I don't know what to do really. I didn't think running a fever while on antibiotics is a very good sign, should I go to the hospital, another oral Sergent or sit back and relax till the biopsy results come back? I've looked on the internet for a similar experience and haven't found anything which makes me think this is a rare and potentially dangerous complication. Thank you for any advice.

Bad tissue growth?  Usually the tissue is red and inflamed when its healing but I don't know why bad tissue would grow.  If there was an infection, I can see it swelling up or growing larger with pus inside.  If the antibiotics don't work, they may need to take a bacteria culture to see what bacteria is in it to prescribe the proper antibiotic.

Thanks for your reply. Currently he has me on a different antibiotic than he put me on after the teeth were extracted. He says I don't have any risk factors for this and he doesn't know why it is happening. He checked the site out today and it was inflamed and the bad tissue was growing back. I don't think there is any puss in the area, just bad tissue growth, however I never asked him directly.

So the oral surgeon extracted the bottom left wisdom tooth and then went back in again to clean the tissue and biopsy it?  You may want to contact your oral surgeon to see if a different round of antibiotics will be necessary.  Any swelling or other signs of infection?
