Problems after wisdom tooth extraction

I have extracted my bottom wisdom tooth (the last one) 12 days ago, and now, i could clearly see a dark hole on the site (after the stitches were removed). It's slightly painful. Is this normal? When will it recover?

I also find difficulties in opening my jaw to the maximum. Plus some bad breath (which troubles me alot). Is this a normal symptom after wisdom tooth extraction? I brush my teeth twice a day, and frequently gargle with salt water and listerine.

Hope to get some opinion and suggestions.

dont worry I talked to my school nurse who so wonderful and nice and u can go to her and ask her anything about medical things and she said its all normal dont worry about a dime bad breath is common after surgery till it heals but for me I all ways have it and ***** so I am starting to brush 3 times a day and the hole is normal too its healing i had dissolvable stitches praise the lord lol pain still is common too i have that same thing and hurts to eat too still and I can tell you it can take from a min of 3 weeks to heal of a max of 6 weeks stop the hydro or morpheme and start taking advill and that stuff bc u dont wanna be addicted to pain killers and have your body use to it which is really bad i know some medical things I have learnt from experts or just know it from the bottom of my heart....

Yes, the pain is gone, together with bad breath. Now the hole is slightly smaller than before.

Hope yours are recovering too! :D
