Pulpitis after crowns

by Nancy37, Feb 07, 2008 08:22PM
Last August I had two Captek crowns on #8 and #9.  They looked bad from the start so they were only put in temporarily.  In late August the crowns were removed (hurt like h.... when pulled out) and new forms were made - then old crowns were put back in.  I started having pain and sensitivity at this time.  New crowns were permanently put in on November 30.  On this date I again c/o pain etc. - the Dentist said I probably have pulpitis and said to take anti inflammatories.  I explained due to Ulcerative Colitis I am unable to take these or even aspirin - so he suggested Tylenol.  He said sometimes it is reversible, sometimes not and I may need root canal.  Yesterday I went in for a cleaning and told them I was still having pain, throbbing etc.  X-Rays were taken and I was told I would get a call today after Dentist reviewed.  No call today - I don't know what to do about this, any ideas?  Nancy
