Recommendation from my general dentist

My dentist referred me to see an Endodonist last Monday due to a lot of pain on tooth #12.  I saw the Endondonist for a consultation and he said that the only thing that he could do is to recommend that I have teeth #'s 11 - cracked tooth/root canal, and #12 removed and replaced with dental implants which I have on two teeth #'s 13 & 14.  I saw my regular dentist on Wednesday and he agreed with what the report said and ordered for me to see the Periodontist, have bone grafts done, have my two teeth pulled, and implants put in.  I have an appt. with the Periodontist for March 17 @ 2:00 p.m. since he is only at the dental office where I go every other Tuesday and has no cancellations.  I am still in a lot of pain and will see my dentist for my three month cleaning on Wednesday of this coming week.  My questions is:  My dentist has another office - in a neighboring town and I am going to ask him if I can see the Periodontist there since this pain is so awful.  Should I do that since Tylenol only dulls the pain and I cannot take anything else.

Thank you for the advice.  I had an appt. with my dentist again this afternoon - 2:00 p.m. since I am in intense pain on the two teeth that need to be extracted.  When I sat in the chair, my dentist came over to me and I told him that I don't have an appt. with Dr. Mata until March 17.  He went up to Maria (Insurance biller) and told her to put me on the schedule tomorrow which she did.  He then came back and gave me a prescription for Clindamycin to take 3 times a day and that he will start the word on my two teeth on Wed. after my cleaning is over with.  U checked with Maria and I will see him (the endodonist) at 11:00 a.m. I will post again when I return home after seeing the periodontist.

You can try two things.
1) Ask your dentist to pull the teeth himself, a month is way too long to be in pain
2) If he is not comfortable doing this, he (or the endodontist) can remove the nerve of the tooth to get you out of pain until the teeth are extracted
