Repositioning Splint

by Bell-a, Feb 08, 2006 12:00AM
I have had problems with TMJ since I was 13, I am now 26. I have worn many splints to help. My dentist first had me wear a flat splint so my jaws could "unload", and fall into their own position. After this I have had to wear a "repositioning" splint. I have been wearing this splint for about a year, and my jaw has moved into the optimal position. I have also just had 6 teeth (2 top front, and 4 front bottom) filed down to reduce TMJ symptoms. What happens next? Will my jaw just stay in this position now? Thanks.

I am sorry but I do not have the expertise in this area to discuss your problem.
