Root Canal

Root Canal

I had a Root Canal done on my upper back molar 3 weeks ago. During the root canal I had a sharp pain sensation that went in my sinus to my eye. The next moring I woke up and had this terrible green drainage in the back of my throat. My eye and tooth pain extreme. The doctor put me on antibiotics. Going back twice for this pain, I went to another dentist. They told me the root canal procedure was bad and that the filling material goes beyond the bone. I would more than likely have to have it pulled. Went back to my dentist that preformed this root canal and they said she is no longer there.I would have to see an edodontist. My appointment is not for a few more days. I still have this terrible drainage that now has a foul taste and smell. It drains and burns the back of my throat. I feel very weak and it is so hard to swallow. Could this be an abcess (abscess) draining through to my sinus. I have never had sinus problems or any other dental work done. This was my first cavity. Should I see a regular doctor?

It is possible that the sinus is affected somehow. I would wait until you see the endodontist before you seek a medical consult.Make sure you get an explanation that is clear to you.
