Sharp Molar Pains

For about a year now ive been having this problem. My lower 2nd set of molars almost feel like they have very small chips on the top of them. I have been to a dentist twice now, and no cavities to be reported. It's very odd and annoying because the pain will disappear for several weeks, and then suddenly appear again. The sharp pains are to the point where eating is a difficult task, and i cant enjoy my food. I searched over the internet, and couldnt find anyone else that was having my specific problem.

Seeing an occlusionist or prosthodontist to evaluate bite is advised. If there is no occlusal interference identified, seeing an orofacial pain specialist is advised.
