Should teeth still be sentative after 30 days of getting a crown

Good Moring,
I got two crowns done over a month ago - both teeth are senative to heat and cold - not to mention it bothers me to bite down.  Is this normal?  The dentist also didnt put the crown all the way to my gum line - I can see the silver underneath - is this normal?  Thanks

Sensitivity after a full month is not normal. The crown may be too high and that could explain why it hurts for you to bite, and the crown could be fitting poorly near the gums and that's why you're getting the sensitivity to heat and cold. If I were you I would get a second opinion....
