Silver Points

I have silver points, should I remove them before I put on a crown. I currently have a 'temp' silver cap that has been on for over 10 years. It is unsightly, and I want a white crown.

You may want to seek an endodontist's opinion about the root canal silverpoints.  They can replace the silver points after your crown is placed by drilling a hole through the top of the crown and then placing a filling into it.  Its not as nice as having a solid crown with no hole but its definitely an option.
