Small, White Bump on Roof of Mouth

Hello, I'm a 21-year-old male. I do not smoke and I drink only occasionally. For the past year I've had a small white bump on the roof of my mouth. Not long after I first noticed it, picked the white head off; it soon came back. It's not easy to pop like a pimple. The head feels sort of rubbery and a bit hard. I haven't messed with it since. I did mention it to the dentist around a year ago, but he didn't seem to think much of it. Here is a picture: http://i.imgur.com/liq1XbF.png

It has me worried that it might e something serious. Any idea what it might be?

I went to the same dentist. The last visit was sometime in 2013. He said he thinks it is a fibroma and wants me to go see an oral surgeon. He said he will likely just laser it off so it doesn't come back.

Looking at the bump I can't help but think it is a clogged pore of the soft palate. But, it is hard to tell from a picture so I'd say to make an appointment with an oral surgeon and see what they say about it. It could be so many things, most of which aren't serious. I'd have it checked out by the oral surgeon and lasered off so that it doesn't keep reappearing.
