Strange bump on gum

Strange bump on gum

I have a bump the size of a pencil eraser that is raised and soft but firm on my top outside gum.  It's not on my tooth/gum line but between the bottom of my gum line and top of gum line.  It isn't painful and I can hardly notice it is there.  I need some advice on what I can do for it and what kind of doctor I need to see.  Thanks for your time.

A trip to the dentist is in order.  It may or may not be tooth related, but after x-rays and an examination a diagnosis and treatment plan can be formulated.  Good luck.
