Swelling behind ear

Hello, I have MS and had a abscess tooth in Jan. and pulled in Mar., my question is, I have had severe swelling behind my ear on the same side with mild pain after the tooth was pulled. Could the abscess tooth had caused this?

After an extraction, the abscess should resolve itself since the infected tooth is gone.  You may want to either go back to the dentist to see if there is any other problem spots or you may want to go see your primary MD to see if it may have a non-dental related cause.
