Normally I go to my dentist every six months for a regular check up. I'm about midway now, and noticed a little bump inside the roof of my mouth. It's stuck to the bone in the middle of the roof of my mouth. I can't see what color it is, but it's covered with skin. It's quite minor, but when my tongue touches it, then it hurts in a minor way. I first noticed the sensitivity a few days ago. How long should I wait to see the dentist? Thank you.

You might want to go to your dentist or primary care physician and get it checked out. It sounds like it might be an infection.
Hi, I was talking about my tonsils. The white dot is on my tonsils. Sorry about that. I havn't had a dental check up in a few years and there is no history of trauma. The roof of my mouth is still slightly swollen, but it mainly just hurts now.
Any history of trauma or injury to the area? When was your last dental checkup? Which gland are you talking about?
