TMJ cause metal sensation after R/C

Had R/C 4 mths back on upper RIGHT molar & have temp.crown right now. If I touch that tooth/rub my tongue at the base of the crown, I feel like someone scraping tooth with a metal instrument. Can't eat that side. Dentist #1 and another Endo checked R/C tooth bite -said its proper. 3 weeks back another tooth- upper LEFT molar began hurting. Consulted another dentist. He said both problems are classic of TMJ & need treatment- i.e. Splint + bite-reconstructive work, combination of fillings/RC/Crowns/Alignment- huge amt.& years of treatment. I grind my teeth and get headaches SOMETIMES, but don't have ALL classic TMJ related problems. Before R/C I had no such problems. HELP- without doing TMJ treatment how can I be free of this metal sensation inside my tooth? Am getting sick of it and now with both sides paining cannot eat properly.

I would certainly get another opinion before I commit to a full mouth rehabiltation which seems what you are describing. I do not know what this metal sensation is but I am not sure it is associated with a TMJ dysfunction. I would get another opinion with another endo.

sounds weird to me. I'd get another opinion from a dentist you are referred to by family or a trusted friend.
