Taste in Mouth

Hi recently developed a strange taste in my mouth. The taste is bad and it makes me feel like i didn't brush my teeth even after i spend at least 5 minutes brushing them. Recently i have developed a infection to the left side of the base of my tongue.I look like small bums and it burns. I think it is inflamed. Could this infection cause the taste in my mouth? How could i solve this problem ?

Thank you

Do you have small white patches on the side/top of the tongue and does it seem like the patches move?  You may have geographic tongue which is sometimes associated with bad taste and burning sensation.  You may want to see a dentist and get a prescription for a steroid to help it heal.   It may be an infection though.
