Teeth Separating and Swollen Tongue

Two years after a having a pituitary tumor removed, I had 9 crowns replaced on my top row of teeth.  Within 6 months of these replacements almost half of all of my teeth (on both top and bottom) have separated.  I have been tested for acromegalia a couple of times, but always negative.  My tongue has been swollen for 10+ years, and prior to these new crowns, I did have some minor teeth separation.  Also around age 10 I did break my upper palate, and I am now 52.  What else could possibly be causing this separation?  Thank you.

The separation can be  of the teeth can be related to a tongue habit(tongue thrust) or an incorrect swallowing pattern. One of the other possiblities is that the splaying(separation) of the teeth is a symptom of periodontal (gum) disease. You should check out both scenarios.

My dentist ran some x-rays and checked my teeth and gums and suggested I see an endocrinologist, which I have done and who found nothing.  Could sleeping with a CPAP and mask do this?
