Teeth clenching...

Teeth clenching...

I have never been told that I have tmj, although I've thought that I have it, but apparently I clench my teeth.  I have bite lines all along the inside of my mouth, on the inside of my cheeks and along the sides of my tongue - visible teeth indentations!  I've tried nite guards but they don't work.  Any other ideas of how to alleviate this?  It isn't always bothersome, but sometimes it does cause some pain.
Thanks for any input!!

I clenched my teeth so bad i wore them all down.  My Dr. put me on a mucles relaxant called Baclofen which i take at night and it really helps.  If you don't correct this you will get TMJ bad (which I have).  Good Luck

I have been to a couple dentists about this -- they don't really offer any kind of solution or help. :-(      It doesn't always bother but I know that it can be damaging.  Plus my jaw tends to get tight and sore kind of a lot.  Thanks for the suggestions!
