Temporary Crown wont stop throbbing

I had a temporary crown put into place one week ago today. The pain without constant Tylenol is almost unbearable, radiating right through my ear. I called the Dentist today and was told it was because some of the tooth is exposed, and that will be corrected once the permanent crown is put in place. My husband had a dental appointment at his practice this morning, so I made sure to call to see if anything could be sent home to help me? A fluoride solution to be painted onto the tooth, did not help a bit. Is there any remedies to consider here I have another 2 weeks to go and this is terrible.

After having read through similar situations I am coming to the conclusion that I may have Irreversible pulpalitis and that CEREC crowns may not be all they are stated to be.
