Time to Heal

My 25-yr old bridge finally cracked and all teeth had to be removed from the top of my mouth in preparation for a denture.  I also had the oral surgeon plug the holes with bone & level any high spots so as to give the denture a good fit.  I was told by the surgeon & the dentist that I will be ready for an impression in one month.  I know a couple whose dentist made them & everyone else under his care wait 6 months.  It's been over 30 days and I still feel like I'm healing,  although I realize that this healing may have no bearing on the impression that is to be taken.  Waiting too long may have issues too.  Waiting too long may have issues too.  What would you suggest as to the appropriate healing time?  Thanks.

There is no problem to fabricate a denture for waiting wound healing. As long as your dentist feels comfortable to make denture, you may start the procedure.
