Tongue Issues

For the past 5 weeks my tongue has been overly sensitive to salt or anything with salt in it or cooked with it.  The tongue is also sensitive to grease of any sort inclusive of butter and there is a buring sensation in my mouth when I eat salt, spice or even brush my teath.

What can I do or what type of doc do I need to see?

Did you notice redness or any discoloration/discharge on your tongue?
I quit smoking 5+ years ago. Before that I was smoking the cheapest cigarettes available.  That caused the same symptoms you are mentioning.
Were you on antibiotic's before this started? If so you could have a yeast infection in your mouth . It is easy to cure.
That's my 1 1/2 cents worth. Hope it feels better soon!
