Hello. I honestly have no idea what I'm doing- I've never been on this website before and just made an account to ask this question. My apologies if I'm totally doing something wrong but I just really wanted help.
Last Friday, I got my wisdom teeth removed. I had both top and the bottom left. The first couple days I was feeling pretty good, but since Wednesday I've been in a ton of pain. My entire left jaw hurts and the pain radiates up to my temple. I went to the surgeon Wednesday thinking it was dry socket. He treated me for dry socket with the clove oil gauze in the socket, but when he inserted the gauze, I started experiencing extreme pain. He took out the gauze and said he had never seen a reaction like that in all of his 25 years of surgery. I did have problems with the left side of my jaw about 5 months ago- possibly TMJ or something wrong with the muscle. Could it just be the muscle that's really inflamed and irritated and not the actual socket? And has anybody heard of a reaction like that to the clove treatment? Thank you so much and have a great day!
