Tooth Extraction problems

I had one tooth extracted surgically 10 days ago, it went well and didn't really bother me until about 3 days ago. 5 days ago I had another tooth extracted by my regular dentist.  Now both places where the teeth have been removed are swollen around the area and is covered with white stuff in the hole where teeth were. I am in extreme pain. Can you tell me if that would be an infection in those places? Thanks!

You should not be in any major discomfort at this point--yes it is possible that there is an infection. I would suggest you see the oral surgeon asap.
