Tooth extraction pain

by AnnaBimba, Feb 24, 2008 06:15AM
I had my back molar extracted 2 days ago.  I am in Slovakia, and because I don't speak Slovak, getting all the details of the problem weren't clear.  Anyways, when she pulled the tooth, it broke and she had to drill out the remaining roots.  I had no pain the first evening, but since then I have had severe pain. I have been awake all weekend with pain.  I can see a big hole where the tooth used to be and around the hole is a white filmy residue.  It looks rotten.  I followed the directions after the extraction and on day two started to rinse with warm salt water.  Is it normal to have this much pain?
