Chapo, I have almost identical scenario as yours. I too had perfectly good teeth extracted (2 permanent upper teeth and 2 permanent lower teeth) for orthodontic treatment, i.e. braces for 3 years when I was a teen. I am now suffering the damaged facial appearance these tooth extractions cause...flat mid-face profile, small mouth, sagging, downward smile, crossbite, pain on the side of the face when eating, etc.
My goal has been to reverse this shrinking of my jaws by "expanding" my jaws and re-inserting these lost teeth, thereby giving me what would have been my normal facial appearance if I had not had the damaging tooth extractions/braces at all as a teen.
I have seen a few orthodontists and oral surgeons a couple years ago, and all told me that, currently, "re-expanding" my jaws and re-adding the extracted teeth, as to "reverse" the damage done was not possible. The oral surgeons that I consulted with, did say that corrective jaw surgery would provide me the desired results but just not in the same scenario that I envisioned with completely "reversing" the damage done by "re-expanding" my jaw and "re-adding" the extracted teeth (essentially, bringing me back to pre orthodonic treatment, where I would of had normal, unaltered jaw growth).
Is this "reversing" that I have described, possible, with any current dental procedure?
