Tooth hurts after cavity removal

Tooth hurts after cavity removal

I went to the dentist for 3 small cavities removal, but now, about 4 or 5 months later one of them started to hurt, like, I cannot chew with the left side of my mouth, it's the second molar, but then I went back there and told the doctor, he examined and then removed the old filling, he said he couldn't find anything abnormal, so he just put another filling, bigger than the last one and told me to go back there in 2 weeks if the pain doesn't go, and it didn't. What should I do? Ask for some x-rays? Do you people have any idea of what it could be?

The possible culprit of pain is occlusal interference of new filling. Going back to your dentist to have more occlusal adjustment is advised.
