Tooth pain

I am having all my lower teeth crowned and until now had not had a problem  I had two teeth prepped for crowns about 5 weeks ago and cannot get to the molding for crowns due to such sensitivity that I cannot tell where it is originating.  Sometimes the top teeth pain first sometimes the bottom but it eventually make my whole right side hurt even into the jaw joint.  They seem to react to liquids touching them but again not sure, not necessarily to hot or to cold liquids as I have stayed with room temp just in case.  I live on motrin, three every three hours and have been on the second round of antibiotics so am assuming there is no infection.  What on earth could cause this?  About ready to have all pulled and false teeth put in.  Had xray of the teeth waiting to be crowned and did not show any indication of infection but this is when we started the second stronger antibiotic.  I have been on it for 8 days.

Why are you having all your teeth crowned?  I have always been told that teeth should not be crowned until you can positively identify the exact tooth causing the pain.  Otherwise, the dentist may crown the wrong tooth.  The only way to know for sure is to wait until the tooth cracks further and a piece breaks off.  That has happened to 2 of my teeth.  Then I had them crowned.

You may have TMJ or just some jaw sensitivity from the dental work you have had done and from having your mouth opened so wide for a long period of time while the dentist worked on your teeth.  I had this same problem and had jaw joint pain for 10 months after having 1 tooth crowned!  I am searching for answers myself now, but I won't be having in more injections unless I'm dead!

You may be experiencing a pulpitis from the drilling.  Sometimes the trauma from the procedure can cause inflammation of the pulp, resulting in pain.  Sometimes the pulpitis is reversible, sometimes it isn't.  If it isn't, it will require a root canal.
