I just signed up here and I`m interested in toothcare, because as a child I had very bad teeth. I go to the dentist like every three years, but I try to keep the family`s oral higiene. What happened that you have to make so many extractions at once?
Yeah I am currently on amoxicillin (antibiotics) and they have not helped at all with the pain. The ONLY thing that has helped so far is using listerine but that only helps for like 1 minute max. I am finding myself, a grown man, crying at night now.
Sounds like you may have an infection. Usually hot and cold means the teeth are dying or
they are dead it sounds like you need an antibiotic especially if its pulsating with your
heart beat at night. Call and they should at least give you meds to keep you comfortable
until your appt. but if it does take care of your pain keep the appt. because it will come back use ice, heat will make it worse. good luck I hope i helped you. I was a dental asst. for 24 years

I have just had 33 extractions done all at once. Before that I I have had severe toothaches for over fifteen years and the infection had become so bad that I was running a fever and vomiting nearly constantly. I have felt the worst of the worst toothaches possible and in a few cases I even had to pull the tooth to get it to subside. Try this; take 2 Tylenol AND 2 ibuprofen at the same time. The combined effect can sometimes be as beneficial as a narcotic without the woozy feeling. A hot compress sometimes helps too. If I were you I would get a different dentist. I went in for a consultation on Wednesday, had impressions the next Monday and extractions were done Thursday. No waiting list
Hi,
I'm NOT an expert however my mom has awful teeth (dentist phobia) and is always getting infections, toothaches and she's tried all pain meds. What works for her is swishing her mouth with warm salt water or warm water with baking soda in it.
It can't hurt to try right?
