Toothache from hell

In february had one of my upper right tooth next to my canine started feeling sensitive.
Went to a local dentist. (hadn't been to one in over four years before this because never had any problems with my teeth and use rembrandt products for clean mouth and white teeth.)
The dentist said i need a filling after x-rays and not in the teeth that was feeling sensitive but in one of my molars way in the back of my upper right jaw. They said the cavity started from the inside of the teeth. I didn't believe this but i am not a certified dentist so i let them do their job and allowed them to drill a hole in my teeth and do the feeling. After that my tooth started feeling funny and my tongue would always end up feeling the area where they put the cavity. Then one night I woke up with a pain in my tooth and my the next morning the right side of my face started swelling. I could no longer tell where the pain was coming from because both top and bottom molars were sensitive to pressure. I was afraid to eat anything. Went to another dentist and they said i had an infection and needed a root canal on the tooth that the dentist did the filling in. They gave me painkillers and something to fight the infection. Got the root canal the following weekend and when the numbness wore off the pain in the tooth began again but only in the tooth that i got the root canal and it is very sensitive to pressure so i started back with the pain killers. Help me take the next step because i cant stand this!

sometimes after a root canal the tooth needs time to calm down. if pain increases or doesnt start to get better go back and have it checked. it might need a bit adjustment or in worse case scenario a root fracture could be involved.
cavities cant start on the inside of an intact tooth maybe the dentist meant under the gum line or between the teeth. four years is a long time to go without dental care. regular care helps prevent many problems. rembrandt products do not work any better than most other common drugstore products and can not replace dental cleanings. good luck!
