Toothache

I've had a horrible toothache for the past few days...and now on the same side I'm having an earache...is the toothache causing the earache or is the earache causing the toothache and what does all of this mean...when I take Advil, the pain goes away temporarily...does this mean I have an infection?  Could it be wisdom teeth?

Well...went to the dentist...turns out its an infected wisdom tooth...going for a pan xray tomorrow...need to see how it looks before decided to pull it out in the office or sending me out of town for oral surgery...I was surprised he didn't offer me any antibiotics...should I just keep taking advil?

More than likely the toothache is the cause of the earache. It could be a wisdom tooth.I can not tell if you have an infection. It is possible that you may need a root canal somewhere on that side. See your dentist asap.
