Torn jaw tendon from wisdom tooth removal?

Two weeks ago I had my lower right wisdom tooth that was laying down removed it was not suposto heal for more than a week but my mouth cannot open more than half an inch still the tooth socket healed fine upon my last two follow ups the doctor has been telling me its the muscle and to use a heating pad and anti inflamitory drugs and streach it out but with that not working at all I started to think and with some inspection with my finger the side that was not operated I can feel my ligament coming down from my jaw the right side however feels real different it seems that the start of the ligament is not at a point like the other and starts anorher half an inch back than the other does wile I can seem to feel the loose muscle in my cheak above as if it is supposto go down and connect, wile he was sewing me up the last stich sounded like it rubbed my jaw bone and or maybe tore the ligament? My face also swelled intensely if that could of done it?  Will it heal? is it possiable that my tendon got ripped off the bone from the stich or swelling

I don't think the tendon/ligament would be ripped to that degree from suture placement.

When are you due for your next follow up?  Has the swelling of the jaw gotten worse?  Any signs of infection such as fever, pus, etc?  If it is due to trauma to the muscles of the jaw, it may take two weeks or so for it to heal some more.  You may ask your dentist for a referral to an oral surgeon to evaluate you.
